MBA Cosmetics is making a few changes, and we wanted to share them with you. 💜
Over the past several years, we've watched the cost of manufacturing eyeshadow palettes continue to rise. We absolutely LOVE the gorgeous high-end finishes, stunning artwork, magnetic palettes, and all the beautiful bells and whistles that go into so many of today's palettes. But the reality is that those extras can make the final price out of reach for some customers.
When we started MBA Cosmetics 19 (yes, 19!) years ago, our goal was simple: create fun, unique makeup at prices people could actually afford. ✨
As we move forward, we're getting back to those roots.
Our new manufactured palettes will feature simpler, more economical packaging, moving away from magnetic palettes and some of the more expensive luxury finishes. You'll also see fewer multichrome shades within palettes and a greater focus on mattes and shimmers, helping us keep prices more accessible without sacrificing quality.
Our more expensive multichrome shades aren't going anywhere—they'll continue to shine as smaller collections and individual eyeshadows, so you can pick up the shades you love without purchasing an entire palette.
Our in-house pressed multichrome and duochrome collections will also become a little smaller and more thoughtfully curated. Instead of 9, 12, or 15 shades, you'll likely see collections of 4, 6, or 8 shades, with more mattes and shimmers mixed in to help keep the overall cost more budget-friendly.
Don't worry—our magnetic empty palettes aren't going anywhere! You'll still be able to build your own custom collections and store all of your favorite singles just like you always have. 💜
We truly admire the beautiful luxury packaging and high-end palettes that so many brands create. They're gorgeous! But MBA Cosmetics doesn't have to be that brand. We want to be the brand that offers beautiful, unique makeup at prices that feel attainable. We want you to be excited about treating yourself to something special without feeling like you have to stretch your budget to do it.
At the end of the day, nothing makes us happier than knowing someone was able to buy a palette or collection they loved without it putting a strain on their wallet. That's the kind of company we want to be, and that's what matters most to us. 💜
One additional idea we're exploring is offering a carefully curated selection of affordable cosmetic products from other trusted brands. The goal would be to bring you even more budget-friendly options that complement our own products.
That said, this is still very much in the brainstorming stage. It's simply one of several ideas we're considering, and no decisions have been made about whether—or how—it might be implemented.
We're excited about this next chapter and hope you'll stick with us as we make these much-needed changes and get back to our roots.
