Our Thoughts on AI:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way we live and work, and it's a topic that brings many different opinions. While AI has the potential to do some amazing things, it also comes with challenges and concerns that are still being addressed.

The technology is evolving rapidly, and we believe there are still many issues that deserve discussion and need vast improvement. We believe that responsible and ethical AI is possible. However, at this time, there are just too many unanswered concerns for us to ignore. We hope to see continued progress toward AI that is transparent, respectful of creators' rights, and developed with both people and the environment in mind.

Some of our concerns include the significant amount of energy and resources required to develop and operate many AI systems, as well as questions surrounding the use of artists' work to train AI models without their knowledge, permission, or compensation. We believe creativity should be respected and that artists deserve recognition and fair treatment for their work.

One decision we have made is that we will not use AI-generated images on our website or products.

We will continue to use non-AI created digital illustrations and artwork created by talented artists, as we always have. We value the creativity, skill, and personal expression that artists bring to their work, and we're proud to support original, non-AI created artwork.

As technology continues to evolve, we'll continue to learn and evaluate its role. If AI reaches a point where it can be developed and used in ways that are responsible, ethical, environmentally conscious, and respectful of creators, we'll gladly revisit our position. In the meantime, our focus remains on supporting the people whose creativity makes our products possible
